My Mini-vacation to Austin, Texas is right around the corner. I am getting very excited for the adventure. I have been doing lots of research as to what I want to visit during the day while the Hubby is at work and tips to know about the city. I have also picked up a few essentials for the trip.
So far what I have purchased for my trip:
- Frances and Bernard Book by Carlene Bauer – $23
- Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk Book by David Sedaris – $6
- Clinique Naturally Glossy Mascara in 01 Jet Black – $16
- Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream in Fair – $39
- Old Navy Bridget Sandals – Only $10, I might go get another color
I need to keep my luggage light, so as crazy as it sounds, packing has already begun in my head. Keeping in mind that I need to bring versatile items.
I have a wedding to attend tomorrow in Connecticut so I wanted to share what I have packed for my little sleepover.
This is the whole lot. Black dress and shoes. Makeup and jewelry. Sneakers and a comfy outfit for the drive home.
I packed 3 bracelets, and 3 sets of earrings. I like to have options even if I’m not at home.
Makeup is where I went overboard. There is no way I will use all of this. My thought process, is that I would rather bring stuff and not end up needing, than need something that I know I have at home.
Pictures from the wedding will be posted tomorrow.
I hate packing for a short trip. I want to bring everything in my closet because I don’t know exactly what we will be doing and how cold it will be. I do know I will be staying in CT for one night and taking the train into the city, so I do not want to carry multiple bags.
I got a new bag at TJ Maxx that has a zipper. I do not want my knickers falling out on the train. I will post pictures of it tomorrow. It’s bright green and fun.
I am trying to follow this advice. But that is easier said than done.
Whats your best tip or advice for packing for the weekend?
