30 Seconds to Mars! Not very good quality pictures, these were taken on my phone as I was jumping around, but you can tell it’s Jared. The guy can seriously sing, he knows how to get the crowd going, encourages crowd surfing, and getting on stage with him. After seeing him live, I am more in love with the band than I already was. If you like 30 then get yourself to a show. After last night they were headed up to Canada, but they will always be back.
I got some new goodies from Sephora. First, the Lancome Juicy Tubes in color Berry Bold. A really fun light pink gloss that smells like strawberries. Beware though it looks MUCH brighter in the tube than it actually appears on the lips.
Second The Blush Rush in color Radiance by Smashbox. A light pink to give the skin just a touch of color, for a glowing pixie look.
And after those two purchases I was at 516 Beauty Insider Points so I was able to get the “Eye Love Too Faced” eye shadow collection. It is a sampling of their most popular eye shadows from the “How-To” kits.
The colors are Natural Eye: Heaven, and Push-Up. Smokey Eye: Silver SPoon, and Smolder. Naked Eye: Satin Sheets, and Like a Virgin. Romantic Eye: Honeymoon, and Ever After.
The kit also came with the eye shadow insurance primer.
Very happy with my mall trip tonight. Excited to try everything.
Theme Song to First Love
I stand alone
In the midst of a crowd
Room tinted blue
Illuminating the singers face,
Lost in darkness.
He hands off his still humming
Electric guitar to
Pick up his recently
Tuned acoustic one
I already know
It’s “our song”.
The one my first love
Used to sing
When lying in
His bed at night
Trying to hard to prove
That we could last.
“If it makes you less sad”
The first line sung
In a raspy voice,
Coming from the speakers.
All the girls swoon.
Those two years
Beginning to end
Flash through my mind
For a moment
I actually feel sad
It’s the darkness
Hearing it live
And not from my stereo
As he screams our
“I’m only hoping as time
Goes, you can forget.”
I clap along with the crowd
Waiting for what’s next.
I wrote this poem in college. I’m a huge fan of Brand New.
Proof of the first Easter that I actually cooked for. Beef Bourguignon and Popovers.
As well as some Colorful eggs made by my 2 year old daughter. Happy Easter!!
The lover walks through the door, he looks
First all the way down, and then all the way up
To her face, rosy cheeks
She looks down
A warm sensation rising up through her groin
The lover looks down upon her body
Bare limbs entangled like old branches
Pink sheets piled small mountains
She glances up at the lover feeling
Moment of Silence:
The lover rolls over, staring at the wall
She lay’s motionless, pondering “Was it worth it?”
Dressing to hide what’s already been revealed
A blank kiss to the forehead
The love is gone.
I wrote this poem in college based on a fellow students pencil drawings.
