Back in October we took a family trip to San Francisco. It was my first time in California and the longest plane ride for both of the girls. We all had a blast walking and exploring a new city. We didn’t get to experience all that we had set out to, but I was ok leaving knowing that I would eventually go back.
Here are a few of my favorite shots from our trip.
Ghirardelli Square in the Fisherman’s Wharf area of the city, is now a historic site with apartments, restaurants and shops that originally was the headquarters of the Ghirardelli chocolate company.
Pier 39 is a bayside pier featuring many shops, restaurants and tourist attractions.
My favorite part of Pier 39 are the sea lions that sun bathe on the docs.
Leaving Pier 39 I noticed this pigeon who was calmly sitting on the railing enjoying the sun and wind of the day.
From Pier 39 you can clearly see the Alcatraz Island. We did not have enough time to take a cruise to the island. Maybe on the next trip.
The Hyde St Pier is a historic ferry pier where you can walk through various historical ships.
Little Miss enjoying the sights.
The Golden Gate Bridge. Was one of the most breathtaking scenes that I have seen. I was in complete awe of the sheer size and beauty of the bridge as well as the surrounding bay.
The girls and I enjoying the sight.
Fort Point at the base of the bridge offer many trails and bike paths ti view the bridge from all angles.
We had a wonderful time visiting and exploring a new city. I had a fantastic time and looking forward to the next city on the map our family will visit.
