I have sensitive skin, especially on my face. The most common irritants are lotions, sunscreen, makeup, and laundry detergent. There are products I know that I can’t use, there are products that I haven’t tried because I try not to test out too many, and there are those products that I know work for my skin so I stick to them, religiously.
For me that is the Simple Skincare line.
Smoothing Facial Scrub – $5.99
Moisturizing Facial Wash – $5.99
Replenishing Rich Moisturizer – $9.99
I find these products to be non-irritating and effective. My skin always looks better when I stick to a routine and limited products. Last summer I was not strict with my skin routine and I suffered from a type of dermatitis. Basically, I had these tiny bumps on my face which looked like acne but were not pop-able.
This summer I was very strict with my routine, and my dermatitis appeared a few times for only a day or two versus the entire summer.
Each morning I wash my face in the shower with either the facial scrub or facial wash, depending on how rough my skin feels. I will also use my Clarisonic, but only 2-3 timer per week. I only use the Simple moisturizer on my face, I don’t buy any other brand of face moisturizer any more. I wear my makeup like normal (washing my brushes on a regular basis) and each night before bed, I wash my face with the Lancome Gelatée Confort (I read that milk based products were good for sensitive skin), and use the Simple moisturizer again.
Being strict with my routine and sticking to products that are free of dyes and perfumes makes my skin so much healthier and overall looking better. My breakouts and dermatitis are at a minimum, all thanks to the Simple Sensitive Skin Care line.
