Coffee is a crucial part of my day. I drink a cup a day to help reduce headaches and migraines. Before I introduced coffee into my daily routine, I was getting headaches several times a week. Since coffee, they have been reduced to only a few times a month. If I skip coffee in the morning it almost guaranteed that I will have a headache in the afternoon.
Beyond controlling my headaches coffee has many other health benefits particularly for the skin.
Coffee is a great source of antioxidants. It enhances blood circulation and reduces puffy yes. It’s also a great exfoliater leaving the skin smooth and bright. Which is why I decided to make a homemade coffee body scrub.
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 3 tbsp coffee grounds (I used fresh coffee grounds)
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- Add all ingredients to a bowl, and mix thoroughly. It will take a few minutes.
- Store in an airtight container.
- In the shower, use as a scrub then wash off.
