The mOmma bottle with the Natural Wave Nipple was designed to mimic breastfed babies natural sucking patterns to avoid nipple confusion so that both mom and baby can go from breast to bottle and back to breast with ease.
The Nipple is 100% silicone to achieve optimal compression when the baby is sucking, it is also a matte finish to ensure a secure latch. They have inner vertical grooves to prevent the nipple from collapsing. The AVS (Air Ventilation System) helps to reduce gas and spit up.
Baby Z and I are primarily breastfeeding; however I am also pumping so that I can save and store breast milk for when I return to work. I also pump so that the Hubby or other family members can feed her breast milk in the event that I need to leave for more than 2 hours. It’s also important for other family members be able to participate in the feedings and be able to bond with Baby Z in the same ways that I can.
This bottle is the closest shape that I have seen to the natural breast. Switching between breast and bottle can create nipple confusion (especially if you use a pacifier as well) for the baby to the point where they will only eat from one or the other. Being able to provide her a bottle that will mimic my body to avoid any stress on her as well as giving me a break is such a peace of mind. I want her happy, healthy and well fed. This bottle allows me to do that even if I can’t be there.
The breast milk storage bags are a pliable plastic that can hold up to 6 oz of breast milk. They have dual seal zipper to prevent leaking. They easily lay flat in the freezer to create an even rectangle of milk in an even thickness which makes the thawing process easier and faster.
I love these bags because they are easy to fill after pumping. I don’t lose any breast milk (white gold) because of the duel zipper. Since they easily freeze flat, I can stack them in the freezer which takes up less space but more importantly, I can order them in chronological dates, so the first bag I pull out, is the oldest bag of milk. That way I am not taking bags out-of-order and preventing the waste of any of the bags.
When I return to work, I will be able to send Baby Z off to-day care with breast milk, that has been properly stored and not past its freshness.
When you are breastfeeding nursing pads are a must. Your breasts will leak. These pads have an ultra soft quilted honey-comb lining with a waterproof layer. They are very absorbent but do not leave you feeling moist. Each pad is individually sealed which makes them easy and discreet to take with you in your purse, plus if you need to only change one at time you are not forced to open a package of two. The back has double adhesive strips which makes them stay in place in your bra. For you working mothers, they do not show through your clothes.
I change my nursing pads about once a day, depending on how filled they become. These are the only pads that I would use. Breastfeeding can make your nipples extremely raw and sore, these nursing pads are like little pillows for them to rest in.
HPA Lanolin is 100% natural and is safe for baby which means you do not need to wipe off before breastfeeding. The first few weeks of breastfeeding your nipples become raw, sore and cracked since they are not used to all the use. The pain is so intense I don’t know if I would have been able to continue breastfeeding without the Lanolin. It’s thick and creamy, all you need it a pea sized amount, rub it between your fingers to warm it up for easier application. The Lanolin soothes and protects your nipples. This cream is a miracle worker.
Lansinoh products not only make breastfeeding easier, they make it possible. Breast is best, and I’m glad that with the help of these products I am able to give my baby the best nutrition that I can.
