Almond Vanilla Granola

I enjoy granola but I find it tough to find a kind that it good but is also budget friendly. I found this recipe here and it looked perfect plus all the comments were confining that it was pretty tasty so I had to try it.


It looks like a lot of ingredients, but it’s actually easy to make.


I could not find almond slivers at my grocery store, so I bought whole almonds.


I crushed them using the flat side of the knife.


In one bowl combine all of the dry ingredients. I added cranberries even though the recipe did not call for it.


In a second bowl combine all of the wet ingredients.


The wet ingredients mixed together.


Pour the wet over the dry, and mix to coat evenly.


Cover the baking sheet with wax paper, then spread the granola over the pan. Bake for 30-40 minutes, while mixing it every 10 minutes to prevent burning.




The granola came out crunchy and toasty with hints of the cinnamon and nutmeg. It’s really the best granola that I have tried. I mixed it with peach yogurt today at lunch and it was perfect. Even Little Miss and the Hubby liked it and they are picky eaters. I will absolutely make this again!
