Exeter, NH

The baby shower that I attended two weekends ago was held in Exeter, NH which happens to be where I grew up. After the shower was over, a friend and I strolled down town.

This is on Water Street in the middle of downtown. Here you can see the bandstand which has been part of Exeter’s history since 1916 and the Town Hall (1855).

This view is sitting in Swasey Parkway over looking the Exeter river that flows into the Squamscott River. This is all behind Water Street. You can also see the old Grist Mills to the left which are now condos.
Exeter, NH is most famous as being the home of Philips Exeter Academy which was founded in 1781 by Dr. John Phillips. PEA is a private college preparatory school.
